Payroll/time clock systems for 300+ employees?

We have tried a few different methods of tracking emplyee hours but nothing has worked out to well. We are looking for a software solution that actually works, compared to the TimeClock system that we are trying to use now. I have done a bunch of searching on the web but nothing really looks like it is even worth trying it out. What kind of systems do you use and does anyone have any software solutions out there that they use and are happy with?


 
Just go with the honor system.

After all, it works so well with those candy and gum boxes in the lunch room.
 
The one we used to use was a custom written web application. Only allowed logins from certain machines and anything past 6 minutes late would not allow a clock-in without manager overwrite.
 
Thanks minendo...We'll have to give that some thought. The main problem is when lots of people are clocking in/out and the system just gets locked up with the current program we have.
