I just bought an item off ebay and used paypal to pay through my visa. The seller rejected the payment saying that he doesnt do business with ebay and that i have to pay with paypal funds. He also said the reason he couldnt accept it is because he would have to upgrade his paypal account. So now Im just waiting for my checking account to get varified so that I can transfer the funds. Once I am verified do I have to transfer the funds to paypal then pay him or just pay him through my checking account? My friend told me hes just trying to avoid the ebay fees. Are ebay fees really that bad on 65 bucks?

I understand his declining of the CC payment, as there is fee for that. Just pay him with your banking paypal account whenever it gets verified.

When you say banking paypal account, you mean my checking? So I dont have to transfer money to my paypal account once my checking is verified?

The easiest way will be to add funds to paypal once your checking account is confirmed. Then instantly send the seller paypal funds. To easy

once your bank is confirmed, send him a payment with funding from your bank.. and it will send him an email saying your getting funds.. then paypal will pull money from your bank (in 3 days or so) and send it to him..
