i used to be a paypal member a year or two ago, but after reading all the problems people were having, i stopped using the account. As my luck turned out, i remembered my name and password, so i just used the same account. Apparently, you need to be verified now through paypal to accept credit card payments, and my bank account profile was still registered in the account, so i had them send me the bank account verification (process by which they send between $.02 and $.99 to verify the account is real). I went to the bank today and figured while i was there, i might as well check to see what they deposited.
After i got home from the bank, i entered in the amounts they deposited and assumed my account would be fully active now. Wrong. Now i have to fax them: my credit card statement, utility bill, driver's license and one more form of proof (i think). This is nuts...i never had to do this a year or two ago. If it weren't for the fact that PayPal was so popular, i sure as hell wouldn't be signing up again.
