Paypal "two accounts" question.......

So back in the day this wasn't a problem, but now it is. I've had a regular account dang near as long as Paypal's been around. Made it a Premier a couple years ago. Got sick of gettin' nailed for their fees even when I *knew* people weren't sending CC funds.

Soooo.........signed up for a new account this morning, but I know it won't let me tie my bank account into this pp account. I don't feel like going & making a whole new bank account just to be able to "verify" and transfer funds to/from this account.

**OR** is it actually better than I don't give them jack sh*t and make 'em cut me a paper check every time I want to withdraw funds??

Thanks to all the f'n trolls out there who make hassles like this possible!!! Die trolls..DIE!

i tie my premier account to my checking
and my personal account to my savings

if you really only have on bank account, then your options are limited

Yeah, I agree with FoBoT. Get another bank account and that should solve it.

That said, I'm quite used to it since we have to pay that fee for all payments made to Cernax Hosting

with a premier account you pay fees on all transactions.

you can only tie ONE bank account to ONE Paypal account. But last time I checked, you could take a premier account and change it to a personal account... but can only do that once. Unless they changed the rules of course.

But, with PayPal... it is always smart to have a separate bank account linked to your PayPal account. There have been so many horror stories where scammers have done charge backs and PayPal has taken the money from the linked bank account that it makes sense to have an account JUST for paypal and when the money hit that bank account you can either withdraw the funds or transfer them to different account. This was if someone tries to scam you, that bank account will be empty if PayPal tries to withdraw from it.

hence why he wants two accounts.

keep/send all the money from the regular account and avoid some fees.

Good replies gang. Thanks!

Ya, I do have a savings account with that checking account and that'd be nice if I could tie that one to my new "personal" account, but I don't have any checks off of it so I don't know how to find the routing # and actual account # for it to direct it there.

(Obviously I can call the bank tomorrow, but I'm still wondering if I can even do it because it's basically my checking account but with a different suffix. Hopefully I can) 😕

my credit union is the same, just substitute the suffix for the savings for the last digit
the routing number is the same as your checking

so to tie your checking to your personal account, use the same routing number and for the account number just change the suffix from whatever it is in the checking account number to what it is for the savings account
