That's why I canceled my eBay account, after 8 years. eBay is nothing but a thief and scammer cluster fuck, with lots and lots of assholes thrown in. Almost everything you buy on there is stolen, and when you try to sell stuff the buyer will do everything in his power to scam you.

Does one of your feet look like this? Text

Mine looks just like it.
The death of common sense seems to have been exaggerated a bit, I'm 2 for 2.

And what did he tell the credit card company? He never received the item... isnt this basically fraud since he already admitted that he did receive it in the paypal dispute?

Update 3 - Dec 15

Case Closed (Dispute Won)
This claim has been decided in your favor. We'll deal directly with the credit card issuer during the investigation of the chargeback, and we'll cover all fees related to the claim.
You don't need to participate in this investigation at this point. We might email you later to request more information about this transaction.

This is wierd, its almost like paypal decided in my favor but the investigation is still going on between visa and paypal. But since it says that the case is closed and i wont have to pay... all is well again :D
He most likely told the CC company that the item was not as described / broken / unsusable.
Paypay is "covering all fees ..." means they are paying for you, and keeping you out of it, since with the refund, you are entitled to your goods back, and they don't want any small claims court legal action for a refund with a return. It's cheaper to pay for you and chill your jets, than to keep to the strict interpretation of the TOS.

Count your blessings. If the dude had returned your stuff, the situation would be different.
