Went to paypal.com by typing in the address into IE. I try to login and I get this message.

Beware of any website or email asking for these numbers for "verification" that does not PROVE that it knows the number by providing at least the last two digits.

I've never seen this before. Is it OK to confirm my identity or is it a scam somehow?
 
its fine, i've seen it there too. if you're not logging in from the U.S. it shows me that message every once in a while. if the digits are correct in the paypal box, its safe to enter them.

and its an https://paypal site thingy, i'd assume its safe.
