This is not a rant against PayPal per se, as I have no hard evidence to back this up. I'm just wondering if anyone had trouble sending PayPal payments using their credit card yesterday morning/afternoon? Yesterday I tried to send payment but it kept rejecting it, saying it failed to connect to the server, and to try again in a few minutes. I must have attempted it half a dozen times, but finally I gave up and logged off.
Today I got an unauthorized charge on that card for $2.95 from Jetcharge.com. I did a few quick searches and it appears to be a billing service for porn sites. I called BoA and told them, and they found several other pending unauthorized charges, varying from $10 to $30. The last one happened around noon today. The thing is that I just got the card last week (actually a replacement upgrade to Visa Gold CheckCard), so I don't think it was due to either the Egghead or Webcertificate/eCount fiasco. Just thought I'd see if anyone else had the same problems.
