Just got an email from 'paypal' saying to confirm email addy and CC info as my account was marked 'inactive'.

It gave a link that said paypal.com but actually was something else. The page looked flawless so be careful.

It was pretty easy to catch (for one it came through an email account NOT associated with paypal) but I could see how somebody could go through with it. Warn some of your less mind savy friends ;)

Why I never! To think these nefarious thugs have broached the once-impregnable fortress of email communications. I will indeed watch out for these ne'er-do-wells! Thank you sir!

<sigh> In my experience I've found these things go in surges... so it'd be nice to know if they were flaring up again. Never f'ing mind

Most of us are smart enough to never click links in email, but your average computer user doesn't know any better.

Appreciate the heads up, really. Unfortunately, AT is filled with computer nerds that already have these type of emails pegged.

I get dozens of these a week and am always sure to log in with the link they give in the e-mail and provide all the requested information. Better safe than sorry, I say.

These warnings are very much appreciated by most of us whether we are technology experts or not. Don't let the asshats stop you from helping out others.
