Ok, here is the story.
I purchased hard drive from one person and used PayPal to perform the transaction, thinking PayPal will stay behind its customers if something goes wrong.
One week later I receive hard drive, which turns out to be defective. I contact the person from whom I purchased the drive and he refuses to take the drive back. I contact PayPal to stop the transaction under their "buyer protection guarantee", but guess what? Here is the response I get from them:
"PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy does not apply to disputes about the
attributes or quality of goods received. As a result, we cannot reverse
the transaction or issue a refund. We encourage you to continue to work
directly with the seller for an amicable resolution."
In other words this means there is not much else I can do. What would you suggest for my next step ?
