Paypal question

Ok so I have my bank account attached to paypal. I lost my Debit/CC and had to cancel. If my paypal account has like $2 in it can I continue to make purchases online with my paypal debt card and it will subtract the rest from my bank account or no??

Example. Buy video game at bestbuy for $50 using paypal card. It will take the remaining $2 from my account and then take the $48 from my bank account

really? Because i see sometimes that when a company tries to charge me and i dont have the funds in paypal, they get denied

You need to have funds in paypal in order to use their debit card. Unless you also added a CC to your PP and have it automatically deduct from your checking.

That is incorrect. To use the Paypal debit card you must have the funds in the Paypal account. I have a CC and a bank account tied to my Paypal and it will not allow me to use the Paypal debit card if there are no funds in the account.
