If the buyer paid using a credit car (through paypal) and her address is unconfirmed, should I be sending the item? What are the risks?

The item was $37 + $6 shipping. Seller has only few positive feedbacks and none of them within past 6 month. This situation is the first for me, so I really don't know what to do.
 
Im not sure how long but that is why ALOT of people in FST forum will not allow paypal with CC.

But what can the buyer really do? Pay with a bad credit card and after she receives the item anul the payment? In that case should warn her that I'll have to wait 5 days before sending the item? Does that sound reasonable?

I think they have up to 30, 60 or 90 days to dispute it.

Usually what happens is:

1) You list the item.
2) They win and pay you with cc Paypal with an UNCONFIRMED address.
3) You ship the item to the UNCONFIRMED address.
4) A few weeks later you receive an e-mail from Paypal stating a fraudulent claim has been placed against the cc and the Paypal funds are being yanked back from your Paypal account or directly from your bank account.

Against my better judgement I had this same dilemma before. I listed a brand new Dell Axim 400 with Buy It Now, moron wins and pays with Paypal cc although I asked for NON-CC Paypal, he also is NOT VERIFIED with an UNCONFIRMED address. Since I have his home phone, cell phone, work phone and home address I felt somewhat confident. So I shipped it to him via FedEx Ground requiring a signature.

I couldn't sleep for the next 3 months thinking this guy was going to rip me off, he never did.

Ask them to send you a money order, cashier's check or bidpay.com

I sent her the following email:

Hi Carrie,

Congratulations on winning the auction and thanks for your prompt payment. However, there's a slight problem. You chose to pay via paypal credit card payment, while having an unconfirmed address. This places a large amount of risk on me as the seller, leaving room for potential credit card fraud. In fact, paypal discourages sellers from shipping items to unconfirmed address altogether.

There are two things you can do: 1) Confirm you paypal address, or 2) pay using non-creditcard paypal funds, or cashiers check or money order. I hope you understand, and let me know if you have any questoins. Until then, I'm keeping the payment on hold (the credit card won't be charged).

PayPal can not put a hold on funds in your bank. Action is taken against the PayPal account only.

While I can't provide specific advise on a specific transaction, I do need to advise that some users have unconfirmed addresses because they want it sent to a work location. Many international users will also have an unconfirmed address as well.The value of the item does not sound like something that would be a target for fraud typically. I would check our 'Security' center on the site for some tips on spotting potentially fraudulent transactions.
