Paypal protection against fraud?

I am shipping some items accross country and the total is 900. The buyer just signed up for a paypal account and wants to use his CC to make the payment then i ship the items. What are ther risks involved on my side. Can the payment i recieve be reverted after i send the item? I have a premier account and dont know what he has.

The buyer needs to have a confirmed shipping address to be covered by paypals seller protection. If you are unsure about the buyer use bidpay instead - they can use their credit card and payment is guarenteed to you.

so paypals CC payment isnt guarenteed?? I mean if i get the payment and put it in my bank account. they can still charge back even if they get the product. I mean he will get the item, just leary if i will get the $ reverted if he can even do that

as long as it gets into your bank before the chargeback is issued (10 days minimum from payment date), you're sort of ok. paypal will put your account into negative and possibly harrass you.

If you get paid and then the buyer disputes the charge, you will win as a seller if you shipped to their confirmed address and have a tracking number to prove delivery. That doesnt stop scumbags from claiming on their credit card but once you have the money theres not much paypal can do. $900 is a lot of money, if the buyer seems trustworthy and you have all their personal info you should be fine. Just dont ship anywhere other than their confirmed address and make sure the package is tracked - use FedEx or UPS rather than USPS.

Thanks. I was gonna ship prio with usps and use confimation and tracking on it. its cheaper and fater than ups ground

Paypal doesn't like USPS when it comes to settling disputes, their tracking and confirmation is very unrealiable and subjective. When shipping something that expensive what's the extra couple of dollars to use Fedex/UPS/DHL?
