paypal neg balance

some moron buyer filed a claim against me in paypal. now i have a negative balance, if i dont pay this, willl it go to a collection agency? does it go on my credit report? does anyone know?

How much are we talking here? However much it may be, it's probably not worth 7 years of horrible credit and high interest rates on loans and mortgages.

if they don't have OPs social security number, can this still go on his credit record? I don't remember paypal collecting SSNs

If you have an alternate funding source, wouldn't the appropriate balance just transfer from that source, to make your Paypal balance $0.00 ??

The same thing happened to me even though the buyer was in the wrong. I refused to pay despite all of the e-mails saying I was negative and had to transfer money over to Paypal, blah blah. Then they threatened to send me physical mail, which was my last straw. I gave up, transferred money into my paypal to cover the debt and then my dispute got resolved 4 months later. I just got my $93 chargeback refund. Paypal is a pain in the a$$. On top of being in the right, I still had to pay a $10 resolving fee. Ghey.
