Paypal eChecks?

The last couple payments I've sent from Paypal have been as "eChecks". Never heard of this before and I can't find a button to uncheck it as the means of payment. It's just from my bank account, always been instant in the past...
 
Just check my options, it's the only method of payment...very strange. Just started doing this 4 days ago...???
 
Did you remove your credit/debit card or did it expire? paypal will give you the Echeck only option if you dont have a credit/debit card added.

Ahah, my credit card expired and I didn't update it. My bank account is still valid though, odd. Go Paypal 😛 Thanks!
 
They do an "echeck" if you don't have a backup funding source (credit card) to cover the cost of teh payment if the bank transfer doesn't work.
 
I got a paypal e-check Friday for an ebay auction.

Paypal said it was uncleared and to wait until it cleared before shipping to the buyer.

It also said it should clear in 4 working days.

I had never heard of an e-check before.
