Paypal/Ebay question

A guy who won one of my auctions is having somebody else pay for it. Their payment came through with a confirmed address, and they are find with me only shipping to that address. AFAIK, I shouldn't have any problems shipping to this other person - but anyone know of a reason why I should?

To be covered under Paypal's seller's protection policy, you need to ship to the address attached to the payment.

Agreed, and the address I would be shipping to is a confirmed address. It's just a different person paying for the auction. Seems legit, but strange. Figured I'd ask around and see what people thought.

Did the winner tell you this through ebay's message system, so there is a paper trail there? If they contacted you directly bypassing eBay I'd be a little more cautious.

Paypal has never paid a "seller protection policy" claim in their existance, so I don't think that should carry much weight.
Ask for a phone number and do your homework before you send anything.

Yes, and they even matched the shipping address. Just seems odd they would have someone else pay....

They just did for me...it was only for a small $ item, but they covered me.
