Paypal doing account security calls ?

Just got a call from paypal wanting to know if I'd authorised some charges on my mastercard recently, has anybody else been called ?

did they ask you for your c/c account number and expiration date, or any paypal info, like p/w or account name? if so, it sounds like a scam.

No, they do not ask for that. It's not a scam, I've received two phone calls from them. I get them when I spend a lot of money in a short period of time (I think it's over $2,000 over two to three days or so). I love Paypal for that, it's great!

they didn't ask me for any account info, they asked me to verify that I'd made two specific charges though

that sounds less suspicous. <sp?> kinda odd that they would notice 2 charges like that unless maybe the people who got the money suddenly had a large amount of incoming payments.

seems legit, though.

They do not check payments made to other people, only payment via their debit card that you use online, AFAIK.

there are alot more of these sites...go to any search engine and type in paypal fraud or paypal problems.
be carefull, maybe you guys should use a third party site.

A company called FALCON SECURITY does help us verify transactions on the account. They will not ask for passwords/id's.

I have been called a few times to verify purchases made with my Paypal card. I appreciated their efforts.
