paypal backup funding

So for some reason paypal defaults to your bank account and won't let you change it to credit card. Anyway I accidentally pressed pay before switching to credit card and i don't have enough money in my account to cover it. Will I have to pay a fee now?

Transfer money to your bank account and you should be ok. That transaction will probably happen before the paypal one.
