If I become verified with my PayPal acct, can I transfer money between my PP and checking accounts? If so, how long do they take? I would like to get people's personal experiences.

I'm verified, and yes you can transfer money from PayPal to your checking account and vice versa. It takes 3-4 Business days.
I have absolutely no regrets so far. Apparently some people do.
 
what dorkus said, but I dislike the fact that it takes 3-4 business days. that delay somehow negates the idea of "instant transfer," doesn't it? I hate having to wait for my money to transfer before paying someone, so I just charge with my debit card and it deducts from my savings. Much faster that way
 
I wanted to become a verified member, but they would not accept my checking account.

Off topic, I did become a premium business member today because i needed to accept a credit card payment. They take 2.9% + $.30, which is kind of bad but not SO bad given the convenience. Howeve, if I were to sell a $500 item, I wouldn't want them to take $15.
 
If you buy something and don`t have any money in your paypal account,it will still do a instant transfer of the funds.What it does is put a hold of the amount on your credit card until the transfer from your bank is complete.
