I was going to start accepting donations on a site I run for forum upgrades etc...a lot of the members are wanting to help out financially.

I was going to use Paypal, but I've heard some bad things about them, and then there's the whole paypalsucks.com thing. First of all...how do you feel about Paypal? Is it really a bad thing, or are there just some people out there that want to pick on it?

If you don't like Paypal, could you offer some suggestions to help in my situation?

Thanks in advance!

I somehow doubt any scam artist is going to devote their time sending funds to a donation site. Even if they do, what's the big deal, you aren't really at a loss since you aren't even sending anything tangible to anyone.

I'm not worried about scam artists...

I've read that Paypal has some very questionable wording in their contract that scares people away...

I'm skeptical of that myself. It's such a big company that you'd hear about it if they had done anything extraordinarily wrong. Still, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask around first.

Huh? The problems reported with paypal are in fact due to scam artists and how paypal bends over backwards to protect the buyer and screw the seller once they already shipped goods. There's nothing more than that.
