Someone wants me to process their credit card directly for an item I'm selling on ebay. I have a friend who can process this payment, but I am not sure its safe. What if he claims he never purchased anything from the store. Does this sound shady? He said he does not want to do paypal or any other online service... Any advice is appreciated.

What I do for overseas payment is ask them to Wire the money over.

No exceptions, especially from a place like Indonesia. ATM, there are very few people from SE Asia that are respectable sellers or buyers on eBay.

yeah, wire money/mailcheck and put a 15day hold on it once you receive funds to ensure it's not a fraud.

If it's from Indonesia, I'd probably pass on it completely. I've heard Indonesia is really, really bad in terms of fraud.

Why would you even accept the winning bid from someone in that area of the world?!? YOu have a 99.938583993% chance of getting scammed.

Bidpay is another option.

I've had several transactions with people in Indonesia/Mayalsia/etc and never had any problems.
