That is an example of an open source program similar to what I want, except it's too complicated for the average user.

I want something similar to these:
http://www.abcbackup.com
http://www.cmfperception.com/autozipbackup.html

What I need the program to do is to take a folder, zip it, attach date to filename, and upload

The program needs to run in the task bar, load with windows, and upload to an FTP server everynight at a random time between midnight and 3AM.

I don't really care how you do it, whether it's modifying the open source one, or making a new one using bits and pieces from the open source program. I'm looking for this to be as simple as possible.

The last part is that all configuration options should come pre-set according to what I set them to, only allowing the user to set the username and password for their account. Here are older versions of that open source project that could be useful because the older versions might be simpler in terms of programming:

This will be a paid job, PM me with how much you'd want for this work. If you do a good job, it's likely there will be opportunities in the future. Also, when sending me a price estimate, please keep in mind that this is for a small startup idea I have and so I don't have much money to start with. My preference would be a per user cost.

I'd have a look at it but I don't have the time (I suspect that'll be a common response). But here's a bump to save you from all the hl2 madness :)

So what is it about those freeware apps that doesn't meet your needs? Only the fact that they are too complex? This sounds like something that I might like to look at but it's crunch time at work right now so I just don't have any time.
