would you rather pay more for a base item, and then pay small amounts for modifications?

by this i mean:

you can buy a cheap car and then pay a lot of money to soup it up; or equally pay a lot of money for a nice car, then small amounts to maintain it later.

buying an expensive game console, and then paying for cheap games; or buying a cheap console and paying for expensive games.

paying a high cover charge at a club, and then spending 2 bux on drinks a piece; paying a low cover charge and then dishing out major dollars for drinks.

etc etc.

Once I pay for something, I don't want to have to pay much, if anything, to continue to enjoy it.

reall though why wouldu want to continue payign high costs on a depreciatign product..pay more up front and less in continuing costs

buy cheap.. and when it comes to videogames and such, only buy the ones you like.
