Pay $1 and rent free VHS everyday at Blockbuster until Sept 2

Hi, I'm sorry if this is a repost, but I thought it was a very good deal. I'm not sure if this is everywhere, but when I went to Blockbuster they had a thing where I could pay a $1 donation to some Boys club and I could get a free VHS rental everyday until Sept 2. All you pay is the upfront $1 donation, and it excludes any new releases and anything other than VHS. I rented 12 Monkeys and I'm going back tommorow to get something else.

I'm not sure if this is a local deal or if it's at all of the Blockbusters(I live in NE Louisiana btw). If anyone has been to Blockbuster recently and can confirm that this isn't just local that would be great.

This is definitely nationwide.

I did this deal in NJ. Only thing is my store will only permit Family/Kids VHS rentals (which is what the sign at the front register said).

So if you can rent ANY tapes, I think I'd better go back into my store and see if I can do that!

They have this deal here in GA...includes all movies as far as I know.

Yeah, it's any VHS movie that isn't a new release. They said family, but it doesn't matter. I didn't believe it when the boy I work with told me, so I checked it out and was stunned. Between this, the 30 days of game rentals for $25 (I think that's what it is, my brother got it), and the LOTR plus one rental every week for 10 weeks for $25, Blockbuster is definately on my A list.
