Paxmate or Dynamat?

Which of these noise dampening material/products are good Paxmate or Dynamat.

As far as I've seen from reviews... the general consensus is that this stuff is just a little bit better than useless...
It can also raise case temps slightly.

I tried the Paxmate. Looks good with a window in a large case but I don't think it reduced any high-pitched noise.

Both. The two work in totally different ways, one by dampening vibrations and to a lesser extent serving as a "barrier" to the noise (Dynamat) and one by absorbing noise (Paxmate). There's no reason you can't apply Dynamat and then apply a layer of Paxmate on top of it.

Of course if you want the best solution possible, I've heard this stuff is the best noise dampening material available:
