Good deal considering you get an XP2000, 512 DDR PC2100 RAM and a DVD+RW.

Video isn't bad - GeForce2 MX400 64MB AGP. For the price you could always rip it out and get a newer/better card.

No info on the sound though?

However, I wouldn't buy anything with the HP logo on it. In my personal opinion they sell junk. But in this case it appears to be a good deal considering the specs.

If your in the market and don't want to build your own or want a dvd+rw for your own machine and just a good cheap knockaround machine for the kids to use. This could be it.

I love this world we live in. A personal computer with an AMD Athlon? XP 2000+ Processor, 512MB Ram, 80GB Hard Drive, and DVD+RW can always serve as "a good cheap knockaround machine for the kids to use." If only I were so lucky as a kid...I thought I ruled the world with my 6 mHz 286 (12 mHz in Turbo mode--never did figure out why someone WOULDN'T use the turbo mode...)

;)

i've used several HPs (from work, school, and friends) and they weren't very reliable. Personally, i'd go with the Dell deal. you'd be paying about the same (with the extra ram, hd), but you'd get a much better system IMO.
