Symptoms of his computers problem:
-------------------------------------------
- No signal sent from computer VGA -> His monitor
- Has integrated graphics card and is out of warrenty from HP. They diagnosised the problem as a graphics card issue with the integrated card and advised he buy another one or mother board

What I have done:
----------------------
- Tested his monitor against another computer, confirmed it's not the VGA cord or monitor
- Confirmed open AGP slot
- Bought him a low-end video card (e-GeForce FX5500) AGP 128mb

I installed the card correctly, but i'm still getting no signal to his monitor!!! Do I have to disable something on his onBoard graphics card on this board or something?

Notes:
- Absolutly no beeps coming from the machine, but all fans spinning okay
- I cannot get into BIOS because of "NO SIGNAL" on monitor

THANKS A MILLION IN ADVANCE!

Some old mbs required that you move a jumper to disable the onboard graphics, but that was some time ago. I seem to remember an old board that had a bios selection to do so as well.

Try clearing the CMOS and then booting without the AGP card.

If you can, take the new video card back for a refund.

Well i reset the CMOS many times and tried AGP and onBoard and everytime I'm getting a very long 5 second continuous beep noise.....that stops and repeats

Still blank monitor on 2 different montiors
