Pause before Booting up

When I turn on the computer, I hear the fans activate for 1/4 a second and then they stop. The pause lasts for about 2 seconds. Afterwards, everything fires up and runs normally. It's like the capacitors or something need a moment to get charged up.

Is the pause when I turn on the computer something to be concerned about?

I have the Biostar TPower X79 board + 1000 Watt Corsair PSU.

Shouldn't be a problem, but have you tried updating the bios?

Sounds like a double-post issue. Most Intel chipset since the P35 or even perhaps the 965 do it.

His board is an 1105 board.
Some boards just do weird things at bootup.
It's not necessarily a problem or an issue.
I had an older Dell Vostro that would do the same thing.
