Call it inadequacies in my own life, but something in me gets warm and fuzzy when celebs are caught for things like this. I guess it's their larger and life getting a dose of reality.

For me it just confirms that the celebs are not the gods their worshiping fans want them to be. This kind of stuff just brings them back down to earth and usually reveals that they are a pretty crappy bunch all the way around.

Yeah, the rich and famous should be held to a higher standard than anyone else and when they mistakes, like we all do, they should be pilloried by the press, stoned, and crucified.

Not saying that, just saying it should send a clear message to people that celebs are not anything that special... more often than not they don't even manage to live up to the standards of normal people.

Or wait, jealousy maybe?
Maybe; I didn't specify. But, would I want to live the life of most of these celebs? no.
My life is so empty that I enjoy when other, particularly rich and famous, people experience tragedy and misfortune. And life becomes more livable when famous people get caught making mistakes.
Maybe you should get that looked at!
Think about it. Celebrity in this country is paramount to at least minor divinity.
Very correct.

Actually that is true, because when they do something right they are praised, worshipped, and commended, so when they do something wrong the treatment should be opposite in kind.

And think of the children who hold these people as role models instead of their parents! If a famous person makes a mistake it has the potential of ruining the lives of millions of children.

It's good for the child early on to see that these people are just normal, like everybody else--they just happen to have a high profile, high income job. They are not special.

And if a child is ruined by one of their idols getting brought up on charges of necrophilia or something, that kid is already screwed in the head.
