Simply Amazing. Every one of them. London, UK/Shangai, China/Havana, Cuba/Miami, FL/Buenos Aires, Argentina, etc.

Wow.

12 in all, go find them my friends. And enjoy Trance at it's peak, back when it was original, beautiful, and something that appealed to a lot more people.

I have to admit, but these days it doesn't even compare to those glory days.

EDIT: After many requests in this thread and via PM, I think I'm going to Torrent these files. I had to get them again, because I accidentally deleted the folder that they were kept, but they are now backed up safely on DVD :D. So, someone post a tutorial on how to create the torrent file, and I'll do that in the next day or two, updating this thread.

Note: These files were broadcasted via BBC radio six years ago, and are not available for purchase anywhere. So, I really don't have a problem torrenting them.

Hmmm...I'll have to pick that one up. Any good place to find it cheap?

These were all live mixes broadcast over the BBC Radio1 Airwaves on the web. You can't buy them anywhere. Which is why I don't have any problem possibly starting a torrent for them. There's actually one or two torrents already out there on the web of all the mixes put together.

Honestly, aside from some of his huge hits, I've never been incredibly impressed with his recorded sets. But I will never put down his skills and ear for awesome music after seeing him in all his glory live last year...That made almost any set (based on music choices alone) sound like ameteur fvcking around, comparitively. :)

Out of his CD compilations, there isn't a whole lot that I totally fall in love with. Yeah, the man is amazing, but I'd rather take his skills live (Back then), than in the Studio.

Where did you see him? And what was the date if you remember? Curious to see a tracklisting.

I personally am a bit less jaded than those like KeyserSoze that remember the good old days ;)

I like to think think trance can only get better, & when i listen to AvB's ASOT, i know it will.

Now i also like Oakey's older stuff, but really, there's lots of good newer stuff too IMO.

I believe it was July 2nd or 5th 2004 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI.

If you could find a tracklisting, that would be excellent...there were a few poppy/top 40 kind of BS he threw in there to keep some of the crowd happy (Coldplay, U2, etc.) but there were a few in there that just...needed to be heard. :)

See, I know all the newer stuff. I can't stand the ASOT episodes, all the same fluffy crap. I love Armin's live mixes done worldwide, and compilations, but can't stand the ASOT. It's forced, and Armin can do better than that. At his shows, he's not struggling to fill two hours. (With the Exceptions of ASOT 180, 181, and 200.)

But even with these current compilations that come out, they are no where close to the quality of tunes a few years ago. (In my opinion.)

That tracklisting is going to be really hard to track down, but I'll see if I can find it.

By the way, I'm all about Ferry these days. He's the only one that truly keeps me excited. (Something wrong with that statement.)

I liked Shanghai but my favorite CD's from Oakenfold were Global Underground: Oslo, Global Underground: New York, and Tranceport.

I actually didn't like Oslo at all. New York is one of my favorite compilations, the first three tracks on CD 1 set the tone. And Tranceport was definitely a great compilation, but it was just all the big tunes from that year. Nothing really special about it. (Once again, opinion.)

Check out Creamfields, 2004. It was very recent, but wow...it was amazing. And Corsten is doing this year's Creamfields :)

Ferry Corsten hadn't really impressed me for quite a while.

Then i heard FB feat. Edun - Who's Knocking (Ferry Corsten remix) [F = Ferry; B = Benassi]...OMG is all i can say :Q

Simply epic track IMO, but then again, i guess i like fluff :D
Simply epic fluff :D

BTW, for those who have't heard it yet, it's in ASOT 204 & also 203 i believe.

I'd have to learn how to torrent them first. I'm still looking to track down the already existed torrent of them. Can't find it tho.

If not, I'll torrent them.

Got Sydney, Havana, Miami, Ibiza, Shanghai, Liverpool U, and New Year's Eve. Others are proving a bit more tricky - some of the dates seem to be different.

Havana, Ibiza, and Shanghai seem to be the most popular ones. I was out fishing all night, so I haven't listened to any besides Shanghai. Do any of them particularly stand out to you, Keyser?

Personally, I like Cuba the best. I dunno, something about the first three songs just make it my favorite.
