Paul Harvey this morning

So I'm flipping through stations on the way into the lab this morning, and I stop on a little local station as they are going through the schedule of events for this weekends county fair. They then stop everyone and say "it's time to break for Paul Harvey!". Ok fine.

He starts spewing some crap I'm ignoring, when they then go to a Bose wave radio commercial read by Paul.

rant: on OT, what a piece of junk radio. The biggest selling point being, no buttons! Yea sure, so if I lose the remove I can pay Bose some extravegant amount of money for a new one...whatever. anyway. /rant

So he is going through the commercial, when all of the sudden he says he is talking about old man Bose being greatest mind of our times since Einstein...

Ok, I l know Harvey is an idiot, but this just floored me on so many levels I almost spewed my drink all over the car. I mean really, what the @#%(#@*!!!!! (I loved Q-bert!)

Anyway, for the reading impaired here are the cliffs:
1) Paul Harvey = brainless dumba$$
2) He calls old man Bose the current Einstein
3) I almost spew

I would really hope that is the only reason he talks up BOSE so much. I doubt he's ever used a BOSE anything in his life.

Do you think that the fat football announcer really loves Ace hardware and he does those commercials because he really thinks "Ace is the place"? How about Lindsay Wagner and the mattresses?

What Paul Harvey claims about the Bose radios may be ridiculous, but they're NOT his personal opinion.

Paul Harvey is damn entertaining, too. His "Now you know the rest of the story" segments are fun to listen to, and he presents interesting news tidbits every day.

I agree. Problem is that Paul Harvey is getting a mite senile, and he sounds like an idiot at times. A couple months ago I was going through the AM band, and heard him promoting Bose. Instead of saying innovation, he sad abberation. Hehe, I almost choked.

Still, he's raking in more bucks than me
