Paul Hamm keeps the Olympic Gold medal

They're stupid for not appealing before the medal ceremony. Stupidity should not be forgiven and I am happy that Hamm got to keep his medal.

i bet if it was the other way around, you guys will be the one who's still fvcking complaining.

does it always have to be country vs country?

fvcking white americans

It's all bullcrap anyway. The final top three scores were:
57.823
57.811
57.774

The difference between 1st and third was less than ONE TENTH OF ONE PERCENT. Now, If these were times in a race, I'd agree that it was clear who won, but this judging is entirely subjective. Can you really say that the judges have the eye to distinguish performances that differ by less than one tenth of a percent accurately?

This is analogous to a cop pulling you over and saying "You were going 65.07mph in a 65 zone" based totally on his estimation of your speed.

um, i couldn't care less either way. the dude is 4 feet tall and talks like a girl. Plus it's gymnastics.

"This is, obviously, a great day for me," Hamm said. "The decision from CAS confirms what I've always felt in my heart, which is that I was champion that night and Olympic gold medalist."

After the judges admitted they made a mistake...that statement irks me more than anything else.

Agreed. I'm pretty dam sure a judge can call between 0.5 of a % but when it is close it is 'always' iffy in a subjective sport but you can still clearly distinguish between the top Gymnasts though.

Oh well this is Gymnastics and that is the only way your going to score it.

I just feel sorry for the Korean guy.

Still Hamm should have had more points taken for stacking his landing...
