Patriots Linebacker Is A Hero

Darius Fleming is one Patriot who will be hard to root against.

The New England linebacker saved a woman from a car wreck last Thursday – two days before the Patriots’ playoff victory against the Chiefs – and needed 22 stitches for a wound on his right leg after kicking through the car’s window, according to The Boston Globe.
It's easy to find stories how NFL players act like thugs. Occasionally you find one where they show heroism. I"m not referring to stories where they visit a kid with cancer. Though it is good that some are not so selfish, and do this.

Darius Fleming suffered a cut on his leg that required 22 stitches. The woman inside the car was trying to kick out the window, but couldn't. So he did. Some how he still managed to play in the division playoff game last Saturday.

A year ago as Patriot, Vince Wilfork saved a woman in a car crash. Wilfork played this season for the Texans. I've driven on that road near Gillette Stadium. I never consider I95 a dangerous stretch, but given these Patriots find themselves helping out trapped motorists, maybe I need to rethink this.
