The difference is the memory timings or Cas Latency.

The middle link you posted is the better ram.

I am fan of Patriot ram, I currently have 3GB of their DRR400 Cas2 memory and it works great.

If you are not planning on overclocking or don't care about the speed get the Cas3. If you want to overclock or just have the fastest ram availible get the cas2.

Depends on what you do with out system.

If you plan to upgrade to Windows Vista when it comes out you will want 2GB of ram. If you play a lot of games or do graphic editing you will want 2GB of ram.

If you just surf the net and use Windows apps 1GB will be fine.
