The law has been in effect for several months. I suggest you do a search for the actual law ( not some slanted synopsis) and decide for yourself. Also it seems to me that the request that the FBI made had very little, if anything, to do with the Patriots Act.In this article, there is a mention of a Patriot Act which is already in effect. I havn't heard a peep about this. What is it? Sounds like some congressman decided to give up some of my liberties and privace in exchange for security (which I object to). Anyone got a clue?
Thanks. I just saw a reference to it in the article and was wondering what it was. It seems to me like there are lots of laws that are passes w/o making the news. OTOH, some bus blows up in the middle east and it's on the front page.Originally posted by: DaveSohmer
