I just ordered ram last night....ended up getting the G.Skill because of reviews indicating better OC'ing.

i'd stick with the G.Skills... i had to RMA the first pair i got from monarch. didn't even do defaults (ie: 250 @ 3,4,4,8, 1T). 2nd pair did defaults, but not much after that.

I understand the G.Skill is better quality than Patriot, but the G.Skill is only rated DDR400 while the Patriot is rated DDR500. Would the Patriot still not be a better buy as DDR500?

I've had to return half the Patriot memory I've ever bought.

Dunno if it's just my bad luck, but given a choice, I'd choose anything else.

Gskill is faster and cheaper. Maybe you should start a new thread about that?

2-3-2@200 beats 3-3-3@250 for A64 and you can OC the Gskill too to patriot levels if you want.

Actually, the Gskill is currently at $159.00 ... $19.19 more expensive. However, no rebate to deal with, so, that's gotta be woth something.

EDIT: Woops...forgot to factor in shipping on the Gskill...make that $24 more.
