We are looking for student interns in the NoVA area for my office. This is a great way to get your foot in the door for the Federal Gov. If you get an intern position and graduate while meeting all the job requirements you could be converted to a full time Fed Gov employee.

Of course the negative is you may have to work for me if my group selected you. 😉

There are also several other cities/states so check them. The last couple CERTs I saw not many applied. I don't think students know about these, let alone intern positions are posted at USAjobs.

So if you know a student, or are one, that needs work, you do get paid for this, then send them this link. Its mostly IT based but even if your are not in a direct IT degree program apply anyway.

There is a lot of retirements happening now, older CSRS employees, so yep growth is a very big option for those that work for the Fed Gov near DC.

Outside of DC its harder as the jobs are more sporadic and less chance to jump to a new position/office to learn more.
