I have a P4 2.66 with 768 MB PC2100 RAM. 128 MB Ti4200. Ran a benchmark test using 3dMark2003. My score was a whooping 948 and I am thoroughly confused.

I see people posting scores in excess of 18000+ and I am like .. WTF .. whats going on here .. am I trippin??

You got AA and AF turned on?
The Ti4200 isn't DX9 compatible... so it's not gonna give very good performance in a DX9 benchmark.
Also... you're testing with 3DMark 2003... and those 18,000+ scores are on 3DMark2001... HUGE difference that makes.

I have AA and AF turned off . .

okie .. i get the fact that the high scores were on 3DMark2001 .. so maybe i can download that one .. do u know where it might be available .. the 3DMark2001 that is .. hopefully i will get over 15000 .. have my fingers crossed ..

thanks

If you're not getting even 1000 in 2003, I doubt you'll get 15000 in 2001... to get 15,000 in 2001... you're gonna need probably an ATI 9700 or a GeForce4 Ti4600 overclocked... not to mention one helluva processor... such as a P4 2.5 or higher, or an Athlon XP above 2 Ghz.

Duh... just read the origional post... you probably have the CPU power to do it... but you're not gonna hit 15,000 with a Ti4200. Not to mention your PC2100 RAM holding you back... you might hit 15,000 if you set all the settings as low as they can go.
