Pathetic Mark scores...

I just ran 3dMark2001se and here are the results:

6550 with cat 3.1 at 1467mhz
6659 with cat 3.2 at 1467mhz
6876 with cat 3.2 at 1733mhz

With my specs below is this normal? Is it really going to be this sad? I want to reach around 10k? What can I do?

What are the specs of your system? Just as a comparison, I have a Kt400 with a 2600+ and a 64MB Ti4200, and I score about 12,000.......

Edit....I just saw your link....yeah, your score seems really low for that system of yours......

If you haven't already, you might want to try totally uninstalling the vcard drivers and then reinstlaling them. That fixed my comp when ti was having the same problem.

You're score is so low because of the RADEON 9000. It's only half as fast as a retail RADEON 8500 in multi-texturing games (which most are) as the 8500 has 2 texture unit per pixel pipeline as opposed to only 1 on the RADEON 9000.

If you had an 8500 or higher you'd score much, much higher.🙂

8500>9000
...its hte naming scheme i bet, it messed others as well

Yeah, it would. A system that I built for a friend got ~11,800 with an Athlon XP 2100+(not oc'ed), 512MB PC2700 DDR, Radeon 9500 Pro 128MB.

yup i can get 13.6K with 2001se with my ti4200 @ 300/530

seems like nvidia does a decent job with driver updates...

i went from one driver to another and my score jumped up 1000 points... it was CRAZY
