This game should be similar to Torchlight and Diablo.

I would recommend everyone try this just to see the crazy skill tree when you hit level 2 lmao.

Game is not bad so far for a free to play.

Skill tree looks fun. Otherwise the game is boring and the camera angle is really annoying.

I disagree completely. Camera angle is indeed somewhat unpleasant, but that's the only real problem. The game is not boring at all, and for FREE it is absolutely great. In some ways it is better than diablo! If you want to keep playing after the free weekend is over, you can pay $10 on their website and keep playing indefinitely - no restrictions.

Pros:

*There is no currency in the game. There is a barter system in place instead even with NPCs.
You get stack-able items in exchange for your sold loot which you can use to assemble other useful items. Sounds weird, but works great. Just try it.

*No need to worry about health or mana potions. You have flasks that automatically refill with health and mana as you kill enemies.

*Huge, deep skill tree lines allowing for very diverse builds

*Six different character classes

*Plays and feels just like Diablo.

Cons:

*Not enough monster variety
*Characters dont look very good (but that might be part of the story, because they are all dirty exiles.)
*You cant change genders
*No "runeword" or "set" items. Just uniques, rares and blues from what I seen. ( but they will add that stuff later I am sure)

As a free or $10 game it's totally worth it.

I don't see how this game is any more or less boring than Diablo 2, it's the exact same thing

i agree with the above, not enough monster variety, graphics are a little odd but i've never cared much about graphics.

I think the skill gems are rather clever, as are potions and the barter system. It makes items more and less important, you have some boots with say a R=G R, perfect for your skills, but find some boots that are much better yet they are B=G B so you swap for the better boots shooting yourself in the foot with the skills or roll with the other boots? do you try and reforge them and hope it turns out better w/ one of the orbs? A little bit more thought, also the enchanted potions work similarly, do you get a larger pot you just found or stick with the enchanted 1 that refills @ 200% rate?

I'm impressed truthfully.

Been playing for the last few hours and been having a great time. I'm gonna toss $10 at this so I can get another character slot and continue play when the weekend is over.

This and Tribes Ascend are the only F2P games I've ever spent money on because they aren't pay to win. Being able to earn everything in game makes it so I will play the game as well and not have to deal with pay 2 win people.

Tried it this weekend and it felt like a game I would have played ten years ago back when I was playing Helbreath, Sacred, and Divine Divinity.

The loot system is amusing in the same 'lottery' sense that all games like this are, but that doesn't get me very far personally. Building seems overrated as very few of the skills make anything more than a trivial difference except for the major nodes and is ultimately secondary to gear and gems (again). Difficulty seems lacking; I got instakilled a few times but otherwise I didn't have hardly any trouble with anything and even when I ran into something dangerous it was just a matter of kiting them essentially, even as a melee.

Graphics felt bad at first but you get used to it, though some of the monster designs and spell effects are actually decent. The UI however could use a lot of work, specifically inventory management when selling or using your stash; it's very 'unintelligent'. The way they streamlined potions is a nice touch.

Overall unimpressed, it was worth playing a bit for the weekend but I just don't enjoy the shiny item hunt and there's really very little about it that stands out as 'good'.
