Sounds like CoC is back on the table now with the impressive pump they announced. I'n guessing those builds will be a hot commodity though so gear will be pricey.
Trying to come up with a build for Betrayal. Was thinking something with an archer - haven't played one of those in forever. Toxic Rain maybe? But I think those are pretty reliant on NOT getting hit - something I'm not good at 😛

I would probably suggest Toxic Rain, Scourge Arrow or Elemental Hit. If you want you a very fast map clearing build then Tornado Shot is still very good. It will clear an entire screen with 1 attack.

In terms of up close builds that don't die much there is Molten Strike Juggs which are very tanky and fun build. There is also the numerous Blade Vortex builds.

what's the sustainability of those builds though? I (sadly) need something tanky or something where I'm not in the middle of the fray (totems!)

I would suggest the Molten Strike Jugg then. They are a life on hit build that is very tanky and are well within the budget I usually see you spend on gear.

Pretty much all bow builds have strong damage that requires movement. However, the movement/dodging isn't a constant thing. Damage scales quite high on all of those builds so you'll clear quick and have to maneuver on bosses. As you get more damage, the bosses that require thinking and moving goes down to pretty much just the end game stuff.

There isn't a big downside to starting a Ranger and realizing it isn't for you. They clear well and they level decently so if you find you get to maps, you play for awhile and you don't like it. You can always sell the gear and level a new toon. By that time leveling uniques will cost almost nothing so you'll level very fast.

I forgot to mention. Be slightly careful about playing something like a Deadeye bulid. It can be hard going back to other builds when you play something that moves so fast. At least it was for me. It took me half of my league play time to get back in the mindset of moving at what I would consider a more normal pace.

rstrohkirch what build did you play in Delve? I remember your char was pretty fast. My Ascendant (Path and slayer) felt so slow. I think I may be too used to flying across the map with Ranger builds.

I played a Vaal Double Strike Champion. Movement speed was low but I had blood magic on my movement skill so I could continously use it. I also always use a quicksilver flask of adrenaline. I only swap it out on end game stuff. His base movement speed was 23% vs something like a Deadeye or Pathfinder which will easily have 100-150%.

I do agree with everyone in their complaint about GGG putting all the big phased bosses as T15.

Haha.
Yea, it's pretty nice. Will allow more classes to better use totems. It's never been too popular but I'm a fan of using Siege Ballista, esp. when levelling, to kill bosses. It's usually not the best skill to use but I like them.

Heh. Yeah, I often have Ballista as an "extra" spell when I'm leveling just to distract and to do some decent damage on bosses.

Now I gotta see somebody come up with a build for this new gem. 5 totems at 100% is still better than 7 totems at 60%. But somebody will figure something out.

And you know what else, decoy totem got a nice buff it looks like. Really should help squishy characters against boss fights.

I think I''m going to back to a MF char for Betrayal. And then maybe later reroll it into another build. Still waiting on the patch notes for now though.

I've got a four socket resonator. What do you think will be best time to sell it to maximize my profit 🙂 (I was going to sell it this weekend but totally forgot about it, just remembered about it now)

Before league end on Tuesday. It's only expensive because of the league challenge. If you let it go to standard I don't see it being worth anywhere near what it is now.

Why do I take off work Friday when I could get more play time if I took off Monday?

Funny - I was just thinking about taking off Friday myself. Not specifically for POE though. I just have a lot of vacation time left to use (though I can roll over/cash out) and I had to work a bunch this weekend as they cut power to our building. So maybe Friday is calling me...

If you're going to take time off I think it should be Friday. The first 3 days of league are the most productive if you're a veteran player. Not sure if start time is different this league but the timer makes it look like 11am pacific and 2pm eastern.

I personally hate the first day of a league (but I'm not concerned with trading). League tends to be flaky, very long load times for patches, etc.

Hopefully the new league is as good as Delve was-this has been one of my favorite ones ever. I'm especially psyched about the multiple totems support gem.

Release days have been pretty good for me... There was one 2-3 leagues ago that went down for an hour or so, but I'm almost always able to play with little to no interruptions. I wouldn't skip out on release day just because of 4-5 disconnects.
