Hey guys, I just upgraded my Windows XP Home desktop to Windows Vista Home Premium. After upgrading I have very patchy internet-- when I open Firefox, half the time it wont load the page. If I hit reload 3-5x the web page finally loads. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions before I resort to just uninstalling Vista. My internet worked fine before my computer was upgraded. Now all of the computers on the network (6) have this patchy internet problem. My brother had his computer upgraded to Vista Business a little bit before me but experienced none of these problems. Thanks in advance for any advice!

There have been some compatibility issues with routers -- Vista uses some features which weren't implemented properly in some routers, and can cause them to become unstable. Installing a recent (or third-party where available) firmware often resolves this issue. Some routers/versions are now specifically advertised as "Vista-ready".

There are some Vista-level options that might be worth trying as workarounds -- search Microsoft for these; I've done it with router upgrades / replacements.
