Why so many ? Was the game unfinished when they released it. 4 gbs of patches since release.

I think there are some add-ons, like dx10 support, and I know there are LOADS and LOADS of balancing tweaks. It could probably be less, but they didn't bother with making 1 all inclusive patch ? Better a lot of patches then no patches and having to play a buggy, inbalanced game though ?

Its because of opposing fronts, the massive patch you download is everything in the opposing fronts expansion which allows you to play against people who actually own opposing fronts, keeping the community as a single entity and not dividing it amonst those who have OF and those with just the original.

Relic has also been putting out balance patches since release in 2006 and is now still balancing Opposing Fronts.
