Patch to fix XP SP2 problem

My understanding is SP2 limits the number of open ports.
There's a patch that fixes this while enabling you to have SP2 installed on your XP installation. Anyone point me in the right direction?

This is misinformation.

There is no reason at all to install the patch. It will have no affect on any software AFAIK and it helps decrease the amount it takes to spread worms.
