PATA Raid vs. SATA Raid

I've been running a raid0 array off a Promise Fastrak 100 pci card for years now. I recently upgraded to a new mobo which has SATA raid.

Given drives of identical specs other than their interface, is there any performance advantage in moving over to SATA Raid? I'm wondering if SATA would have a slightly higher thruput than the pci card being that it's onboard...
