Pata and Sata

Can u use a Pata drive with a Sata drive on the Asus p4c800ed. I have a WD raptor and want to install a WD 200g on the promise controler?

You should be able to use PATA and SATA in conjuction with each other, as far as I know.

Yes, they will work fine together. You can either connect the PATA drive with a PATA connector or use a PATA to SATA adaptor (like Abit's "serillel 2.0" converter) which will let you plug in the PATA drive into a SATA port.

If you do not have one of these adaptors though, it will still work fine using the SATA drive with a SATA cable and the PATA drive with a PATA cable.
