Pat Robertson is far from an accepted speaker for mainstream Christianity. He's just another wacko extremist nutjob.
With a bigass viewing audience for his show.

I used to watch Politically Incorrect with Bill Mahr but that doesn't mean I agree with everything he says.
Not quite a good analogy, but thanks.

Pat Robertson is my daddy. 🙁
Your mom fell for the "My wang is like a direct line to God." line too, huh?

I see the first Christian bashing thread of the day got you to crawl out from under your rock.
I could say the same for you. I'm glad to see your ongoing martyrdom is still going well.

No different from Muqtada al-Sadr and those other well-followed hate-spewing nutjobs in the east. Two identical ships sailing under different flags.

True, but when was the last time you heard about somebody claiming to be Christian and flying planes into skyscrapers in the name of Christ?

Roberts is calling for the death of Chavez. These idiot muslim clerics are calling for the death of Americans. Perversion of Islam led to 9/11, I don't see how this is potentially any different.

I used to watch Politically Incorrect with Bill Mahr but that doesn't mean I agree with everything he says. Apparently Bush's approval rating is around 45% but you still get the whole country paying attention when he makes national speaches.
Actually its at 36% right now.

I think you're missing his point. Robertson's point was that if the US intends to do something about Chavez, we need to do it without starting another 2 billion dollar war. If we're going to do something about it, just sneak in and assassinate him. I think he, along with pretty much everyone else in the country, agrees that we don't need another war. That's the point he was making.

He wasn't saying OMG WE NEED TO KILL THIS MOFUGGER RIGHT NOW, like certain bias individuals want you to believe.

You can frame it any way you like, but the bottom line is that a prominent Christian leader said, quite plainly, that he's okay with murder for political purposes. I can't see how or why this topic is defensible.

WHO IS CHAVEZ???

and why does Pat Robertson care about him?
He's the President of Venezuela. His favorite hobby is waving his wang in our face knowing we won't do much about it as we're his biggest customers (oil).

Wrong forum. And Roberston is a FVCKIN MORON

A moron with a huge following though

Doesn't mean those people have a brain and can think for themselves 😉

Ausm
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I seriously doubt Pat's followers are free thinkers for the most part. 😛

Pat "The lord told me to run for President!''

Sam Kinison "Yeah, I bet he did. God loves a good laugh."

God to Pat @ 3 A.M. "Hey Pat, I want you to get up and check your tire pressure."

God "Hey look, he's doing it! <snicker>

Like I said, he's far from a leader of Christians. He's a leader of nutjobs. However, I think you're taking his statements out of context and stretching them too far. If you actually watch the segment, he's making the point of money, not murder. He doesn't go on and on about how this guy should die because he's politically different than anyone else. Robertson is like "we don't need another 2 billion dollar war. We have covert teams that can sneak in and, you know, get the job done if that's the case. We don't need to start a whole nother war over this."

Have you seen the segment? Are you just reading various things out of context on agressive news sites?

Is that how you define terrorism? What about the Christian extremists who go out and beat the crap out of gays? Those "heathens" are viewed in the same light as we are to the Islamic extremists (sp?).

My statement stands as is; he's a prominent christian advocating, or at the very least approving, murder. The spin on the subject is irrelevant.
