What a bunch of hypocrites. This is why I don't go to church. They're all run by liars, cheats and hypocrites.

I'd avoid pretty much everything then. Everyone lies and if you can find me someone who is not hypocritical about something, I'll find you a liar.

Wafflehouse is only good if you're drunk. There is nothing more satisfying than a triple plate of hashbrowns at 3 in the morning. Well, maybe a few things, but one is not always in the vicinity of a Jack in the Box.

eww, no thanks. I don't want tainted meat. drunk or sober.

The Rev. Juan D. McFarland made the admission from the pulpit during a Sunday service in September, said Deacon Nathan Williams Jr., a 71-year member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

...well i guess he did a decent job as preacher if they didn't immediately beat the shit out of him

My wife doesn't lie and she isn't hypocritical. My friends don't lie to me nor does my family.

I expect certain people to lie their fucking faces off. Lawyers, politicians, used car salesmen, insurance salesmen, the police etc. But I would expect more from your religious leaders. This guy was fucking women in his congregation while he knowingly had aids. He is the worst sort of human being.

So wait, there were two people who thought he should stay on as a church leader??
2 out of 80? I'm guessing those two are the Christians - you know, the whole confess your sins and Jesus forgives you thing. That's about the right ratio. They're the two who think, "he's come clean, we should forgive and try to move forward."

Your wife, unfortunately, has lied; does lie; and will, in the future, lie. There is also a very high probability, at least, one thing she is hypocritical on. The degree of her transgressions are likely not as offensive as the scumbag this thread is about, but it still happens.

While, I agree what this guy did puts him in the highest eligible category of scumbags and that we should be able to expect more out of those in positions of authority, the fact remains that as humans, we often do things that don't make us perfect.

Church leaders/elders/deacons and pastors are suppose to be above reproach and held to a higher standard. There are things that make a person disqualified from church leadership, this guy most certainly is disqualified. (Heck, there's plenty of criminal offenses he should be held accountable for as well.) Any doctrinally sound congregation would've removed this man from his position.

Titus 1:6-9
6 An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe[a] and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. 7 Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. 8 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. 9 He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

1 Timothy 3:1-13
Qualifications for Overseers and Deacons

3 Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.

8 In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. 9 They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.

11 In the same way, the women[c] are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.

12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well. 13 Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

IHOP > Waffle House .

...because everyone knows that pancakes are better than waffles. :p

Lies and more fucking lies. Pancakes have zero ability to store syrup on the surface. They can only absorb it, and not particularly well, I might add. Also, take into account the average age of someone eating at IHOP is around 65. Then, you consider that IHOP's menu consists of pancakes with whatever garbage fruit they scrapped out of the bins behind Whole Foods, and objectively, Wafflehouse is better.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/thomas-guerra-california-man-accused-of-intentionally-spreading-hiv/

Here is something I found on the Internet. In California this was a misdemeanor with a $1000 fine and a possible 6 month Jail sentence.

Here is another case in Missouri where another man claimed to of had up to 300 sexual contacts with other men. It is common for some people to engage in risky casual behavior with male partners in parks or restrooms at rest stops or other locations. I remember talk about a park over in Missouri near St Louis, MO that was popular with the gay community.

At least they have better drugs today.

There's a surprising(not really) quantity of men's underwear in the woods around the more isolated park and rides. Those are the upstanding Christians. Wouldn't want the wife to find out or anything. Besides, is it really infidelity when it's pseudo-anonymous homo? I think not!

The only thing Alabama has more of than churches are Wafflehouses.

That's a lie...it goes like this

wafflehouse, shack, mega church, shack, shack, mega church, shack, church, shack, shack, shack, mega church, house, mega church, shack, shack, waffle house.

At least on the roads I was on. Very striking when you think about it.

Also, nothing funnier than watching 2 drunk Alabamian women get into a cat fight telling each other they have horrible accents. Pure gold.

Oh, I can agree with the waffle's superior ability to contain the syrup rather than depositing a ridiculous amount on the plate. However, most people seem to have this ridiculous notion that a waffle should be crispy, which is why I don't like them. Soft waffles are alright, but still seem to have a (slightly) tougher outside compared to fluffy pancakes.

Although, I do find that the waffle's ability to hold syrup can also be a pain when it comes to attempting to spread butter on them. You always get your butter stuck in one of the squares! With a pancake, you just set it on, give it about 10 seconds to start to melt, and swirl it around.

I agree about IHOP's insistence upon putting fruit on pancakes. When I make pancakes, it's just pancakes + (real) maple syrup. Aunt Jemima? Screw that garbage! D:

Original House of Pancakes > IHOP

IHOP is the only pancake place that I know of around here, so that's why I mentioned them. :p I've only been to there maybe 2-3 times.

Original House of Pancakes > IHOP

Cracker Barrel pancakes > IHOP

Using a proper amount of butter on the griddle to get those crispys on the edge of the pancake :)

IHOP's omlets are decent (I think they actually add some pancake batter with the eggs) but their stack of pancakes are so tiny and un-satisfying.
