My sister in law wants to put a password on her computer so
no one can get in windows98se without her knowing it.........

anyone got any ideas on how to put a password in for that

she just wants to have a login screen?

/edit crontorl panel -> users -> run through the wizard, but I think that people can just cancel this out, the only purpose for windows passwords really is to save user settings.

Only way to lock down 98 with a pass is:
1. go into bios and setup a password there
2. set up a screensaver password.

You can't lock the os down, but you can lock access to the machine itself. 🙂
