Password recovery help in windows 2000

I cant log on to my computer im stuck at the login screen and I forgot my password? Anyway I can get it? Boot from cd?

could always download hiren bootcd, and use the password reset/recovery programs on that cd.

In windows 2000, there is a method to boot into the command line through either safe mode or the Administrative account. From there, you can navigate into a directory with the password file. If the password file is deleted and the system rebooted, the user will be asked to change their password upon logging back in again.
