Password on wake not working

This apparently has happened to other users, but no word of how to fix it short of updating to 10.5.6. Apparently certain security updates break this (for both Hacks and real Macs).

Anyone have any experience with this? I've deleted the Systemprefs.plist file, to no avail.

I'd really prefer my Hack be password protected when I'm away. Any thoughts?

 
I am in the habit of just logging out and logging back in everytime I reboot. I am still at 10.5.4 because everything works (except the screensaver issue.)

I guess I'll do that. Sort of weird though, don't you think?

Edit: I just updated to 10.5.6, and still the same drill. What gives?
